My interest is in
Touch Drawing Personal Use, SoulCards Personal Use, Facilitating Touch Drawing
What brings you to an interest in Touch Drawing or SoulCards?
I am an artist, and at the time I found Touch Drawing, I was engaged in a year long mentorship teaching me how to incorporate the expressive arts into "Equine Guided Practices". Touch Drawing seemed to be the perfect form of artistic expression that could be so quickly and accurately conveyed while in the presence of horses and the intuitive healing that occurs within the roundpen. I was very interested in specifically incorporating this type of Expressive Art form, and did have the opportunity to do so immediately following the 10th Annual Gathering of 2006. I look forward to many more opportunities to share this again.
My experience applies to:
Art, Creativity, Spiritual, Intuitive, Expressive Arts, Creative Art Therapy
Other areas of interest & experience
I am interested in creating community and unity among us, and to this end, I am deeply interested in our conscious evolution. I am fascinated by the web, and the connections this can allow to form among us, and what new potentials of organization may form through this new medium.
Have you done Touch Drawing?
Yes
Have you facilitated Touch Drawing?
Yes
In what setting have you facilitated?
Around Vancouver, BC at an Equine Experiential Learning workshop, we incorporated Touch Drawing as a part of our weekend with the horses.
I attended the Annual Touch Drawing Gathering on Whidbey Island, Washington
2006
Do you facilitate SoulCards with others?
No
Is there anything else you would like us to know about you?
I have envisioned a way of moving artwork, which I call art caretaking - and am using this to move my own art, and I welcome other artists and lovers of art to join me. I am creating a website which will facilitate this, and I believe Touch Drawing is an art medium which may work synergistically with Art Caretaking, expanding the potential for each movement. See this page on my website, which I wrote in 2002, when I first thought of this concept for my own artwork: http://amandakoh.com/pages/caretakers.html

Assisting the One

This is a poem I wrote during the 2008 Touch Drawing Gathering, from the beautiful and expressive images I received from my Inner Portrait drawing partner, Talia................. Thank you, dear Talia! Assisting the One Angel Spirit - Trust your Power. Trust what you feel in your core. You are being sent messages Which you have the power to manifest. Hear them. Catch them. Realize your dreams! You are assisting the One Through the great many layers of Life. Know the trees will grow agai… Continue

Mark Runge's art burnings

I just saw this post on Mark's page about a couple of images he created by burning watercolor paper..... Check them out! (He's also looking for more creative burning techniques, so give him some tips if you think of any!)

Hi Amanda! Yes, I was at Wildwood! I hope your summer is lovely--my horses are both doing so well. Check my site as my book is doing well and Kim's artwork in it is absolutely wonderful! I would love to have you come to a signing at Heather's gallery , The Noble Horse, on August 8th at 5pm--bring any friends who you think would enjoy it! Sure hope to see you there, Amanda! Blessings, Connie
