how are you??? no contact in awhile!!
wanted you to know that Deborah is coming to Sarasota on March 21 (Sunday) for a day long Touch drawing retreat!!! I am excited! It would be great if you, and some of your St. Pete friends could join in! All the info is posted on the Events listing and registration is on the Events page of the main site. I would love it if you could help spread the word! And, of course, it would be GREAT to see you!
I think it wuld be great to open a discussion on the workshop facilitator forum on photography. I absolutley agree it can be disruptive. i also know there are way to make it much less so. And it's something to do only some of the time, and thre are different approaches to it.....do you feel like opening that discussion? this is just the kind of thing the Facilitator group can explore, among many other things. I'm going to try to get as many people as p9ossible to join that group.
Mark, What a great story of working with the Waldorf teachers & parents - and a great idea for a movement/drawing session. Did you by any chance take any pictures of them or of their animal drawings? it could be a great newsletter story -
It's interesting - I just got an email from Dana who wrote to you right below this, saying she had JUST had some kind of breakthrough expereince with doing or facilitating TD - She is going to send more details soon.
it's also really good to hear that a Waldorf school is open to Touch Drawing - if they continue and integrate TD into the classroom, I would REALLY love to have thgat written up, to open the way for other Waldorf Schools. Maybe in one of their publications. Keep me posted on how it goes with them, please.
It's wonderful to feel the thread of connection through this community - Deborah
mark, when you wroite for the newsletter, you can also say something about how Td has affected your other artowrk, and include an example. I'd be fine with the anti-war work....

Hi, Mark! Great hearing from you....... I love seeing your joyful, exuberant picture. :) Do you have any pictures of what you have created using gun powder? I like the drawings you have shown so far........ keep up the sacred and JOYFUL art production! :)
Dear Mark, I saw the announcement for your show, and went to your webiste to see that you had added even more wonderful, fascinating, rich Touch Drawings. so glad you are keeping the spirit alive and strong. Maybe we can do something on your show in the next enewsletter....with a few images in our 'Touch Drawing Gallery' section....Also, it would be great to see some more of them here on the community site. Love and congrats! Deborah
it is alot bby I DO feel like it is bringing a sense of community to life for ME, too, which feels supportive. Now if several hundred join, it will move to another level. But so far, I am inviting very gradually and can handle it on a personal level. This is where group leaders will come in to keep it all personal when it gets bigger. Its GREAT to be in touch with you! thanks for your energy!
You saw right! I'm right across from Whidbey Island!!! I'm moving in about a two months, to a home within walking distance of the Mukilteo ferry......... and that is pure coincidence! Can you believe it!?
Anyway - I'll be sure to contact you when I'm in FL - it will be great to see you! :)
There is no doubt that TD has expanded my art world. It has also helped me with my meditation and spiritual practices, but that is much more difficult for me to show because words fail me most of the time. Thank you for looking at my art. Big smiles to you.
Mark, I just checked yout website. I love seeing your art - the touchdrawings, constructions, wood paintings, multiple-layer figure drawings. And I am so happy to read how TD has served your creative development.
