The 'Sweat Lodge' Gathering

Yesterday the region had ALL TIME record breaking heat - 103 degrees in Seattle. I don't know what it hit here, but we are cooking. Thank goodness for the deep coolness of the Sanctuary. It was silent day and we spread out all over the land. About 11 people came with me to the old growth forest and beach. When we met in the sanctuary at 4, we sat together in the deep silence. It felt like we should just stay in the stillness so we extended silence until dinner. this group is able to hold the depths, and then when called to share, share so fully. It feels good to be listening to the form of our time as we work with the elements and the wisdom of the group. 'Sweat Lodge' Gathering is half joke and half serious. We are going deep. And playing, too - Whidbey Institute brought out the sprinkler last night! And then the joy and fulfillment of going more deeply into our images through coloring and mounting

Today we will expand our focus in drawing beyond the 'personal' as we walk the labyrinth and open to an expanded source in our drawing.
