I have so much to say I don't even know where to start!!! This has been the busiest year ever! I can't believe all the stuff I can try to do all at once. What a whirwind I am riding!
I am nearly through my first year as an art teacher at the local public school in Hobson, MT. where I live with my family. This was such a divinely timed occurance that I could never have planned it to happen so perfectly. This is truley a dream for me. I have an unbelievable art room with huge windows and plumbing and a kiln for ceramics. And STUDENTS! I feel that I have finally earned the career that I have worked so hard for.
The STUDIO is still in the works at my home, and I hope to open when school lets out for the summer. I plan on offering summer art for students, and adult workshops also. Hopefully there will be some marketing of some sort appearing in the near future.
One of the requirements for me when I was hired at the school was that I complete my degree and get teacher's certification. I applied to Prescott College and am currently enrolled in their Adult Degree Program, which means I can earn my degree with the school I started with in the first place in Hobson, while I am working. This is such a cool program, and I am truley glad to be reconnected with the PC community.
Wyatt's first Christmas was a special time for our family, what a blessing this has been in my life, and in his father's life too. We had a cozy family Christmas and I am just so greatful for all I have been given, a warm home, a loving family a steady job, the studio and the oppertunity to finish my education.
Last but not least on Christmas Eve, Levi(Wyatt's Father) presented me with an engagement ring. We haven't made any plans yet, but it is in the works!
Well that pretty much wraps it up for my current life I would like to add that I can proudly say that after years of feeling like I was in an Artist's Funk, I have found some time in my sceduale to paint again!!! I'm not Touch Drawing, but I am painting and that is HUGE for me right now, it feels great!!!!! For so long I have been convincing myself that I would paint and do art when the studio was done, and all the while knew that was just an excuse. So I can now pat myself on the back, whew!
Take Care, Sending Lots of Love, Heather Feather
