I like this idea. I have just started with touch drawing and was wondering how to store my drawings while keeping them available to look at.

Great idea! If your drawings on tissue paper are wrinkled you can also iron this paper with a warm iron and completley smooth out the wrinkles.

What brings you to an interest in Touch Drawing or SoulCards?
I'm a counselor and a printmaker. Touch Drawing offers great potential for use in group and individual therapy. As for my own individual practice of this creative form, I have experienced Touch Drawing as a catalyst for expressiveness and for individual transformation.

Just recently I was fortunate to attend Deborah's Touch Drawing workshop in Boone, North Carolina at the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association.
My experience applies to:

I'm an elementary school counselor and incorporate art into my work with children.

I enjoy connecting with Nature through Touch Drawing. One of my very first Touch Drawings four years ago, that suddenly emerged on my drawing board, was an apple. (An apple tree grows outside my studio window.) I keep it always on the wall in my studio as a reminder of summer during the long Ohio winters.

Storing drawings on tissue paper

After stashing rolls of drawings on tissue paper in a trunk for seven years I wanted to have easier access to some of them. I bought a pad of newsprint (18 x 24"), you can get it in 50 or 100 page pads, and interleaved dry Touch Drawings throughout the pad; also tried it with a pad of 80# Strathmore drawing paper on hand. This way I can save a single or a series of drawings for study, reference, color or prep for photographing. A few days in the pad flattens out the tissue pretty well.… Continue

Touch Drawing Facilitation at Hocking College in Nelsonville Ohio

On November 15 I facilitated Touch Drawing with students in the Hocking College Health and Wellness Program. Class instructors Deb Bibler and Cecilia Rinaldi invited me to offer an introduction to Touch Drawing to their students. The setting was especially lovely, the November woods in a small conference center in Appalachian Ohio. The group had been working intensely together for weeks and used the TD session for relaxation, reflection and a bit of processing.
