Profile Information

My interest is in
Touch Drawing Personal Use, SoulCards Personal Use, Facilitating Touch Drawing, Facilitating SoulCards
What brings you to an interest in Touch Drawing or SoulCards?
I have always held an interest in the Expressive Arts. Touch Drawing moves me on a very primal level & draws upon my soul in an indescribable way. The possibilities for the implementation of Touch Drawing are infinite and it's gifts immeasureable. I am admittedly enthralled & intoxicated by the entire process and the artwork that inevitably emerges, both on a personal, as well as professional level.

I currently work as a Team Support Coordinator for individuals with varying & multiple degrees of physical and developmental challenges. Facilitation of Touch Drawing in this arena, often lends a crucial voice and avenue of expression where there previously existed 'little or none.'

My ultimate goal is to open a Creative Arts Center, which would encompass a variety of expressive arts, but focus primarily on the facilitation of Touch Drawing.
My experience applies to:
Art, Creativity, Social Work, Spiritual, Children, Teens, Aging, Abuse, Hospice, Grief, Occupational Therapy, Meditation, Expressive Arts, Creative Art Therapy
Other areas of interest & experience
Photography & Writing
Have you done Touch Drawing?
Yes
Have you facilitated Touch Drawing?
Yes
In what setting have you facilitated?
Studio & work settings.
Share a special experience with Touch Drawing or SoulCards.
I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Rowe Touch Drawing Retreat December 7th thru the 9th and the experience was indescribable. It helped to reinforce a personal calling to bring my current obligations into balance and focus on pursuing Touch Drawing on a much deeper level.
Do you facilitate SoulCards with others?
Not yet but I plan to.
City, state, zip and/or region and country

Still Here...

Seems as if I've been absent from the site for awhile, but I've made some exciting changes in my life. I've left the field I had been working in for fifteen years & am currently securing the property next door to me to set up an Expressive Arts Studio. I will be returning to teaching & the focus will be on Touch Drawing and I couldn't be happier. I apologize for the abscence, but it was definitely temporary and I just wanted to make a short post to share my news. I'll keep everyone poste… Continue

Inspiration

Evidently, ringing in the New Year has awakened my thirst for creativity. I've spent the last two days working on my site within the Touch Drawing Community, reconnecting with people and making new friends. I've read through various entries about process and individual experiences and shared some of my own. Suddenly, I feel inspired to write, draw & paint. This is a big deal for me, inspiration and the desire to create anything has been lost beneath the clutter of everyday life for so long,… Continue

Looking for Photos

I know that during our Rowe conference there were quite a few photos taken. I would like to include many of those photos on our site. I am requesting that if you had attended the Rowe conference and taken photos during that time, that you submit them to share here. Also, I found the entire experience to be extremely moving & enlightening, and invite you to share your experiences here as well. It was a very powerful and moving time and I would like to provide others with the experiences we sh… Continue

That has been a long time......I am glad you can even consider coming to Omega. And someday, yes, the Gathering - you would love it, I am sure.

Tanya, Glad to have you back; sorry to hear you have been ill. Any chance you could make it to Omega Institute July 10-12 for some renewal and connecting? Dana who helped at Rowe is coming to help again - maybe you could ride together. Dana Wilde - look her up in members here.....if you are considering it - or just to connect with her - she is really in creative gear these days. Blessings and health - Deborah

I am SO glad to see the plans for the Creative Arts Center moving ahead. Thank you for reconnecting me to the Touch Drawing community. I tend to become isolated struggling with theory. I have been exploring mindfulness and drawing research connections between it and touch drawing. The 'powers that be' who hold the purse strings employing therapists must take this process seriously.
