I am very interested in the use of imagery and metaphor for self awareness as well as in Trans-generational psychotherapy. I am particularly interested in the experience of art making using paint, collage, crayon, sculpture and sand tray. I teach Creative Writing and Journaling with clients, both in the NHS setting and privately.
Have you done Touch Drawing?
Yes
How did you find out about the Touch Drawing Community?
I bought first pack of Soul Cards quite a few years ago and have used card imagery extensively both personally and with clients. I was very pleased to discover your web site recently.
Have you facilitated Touch Drawing?
Not yet but I plan to
In what setting have you facilitated?
I am going to incorporate Touch Drawing into my NHS client work and private work which already incorporates art for self awareness and exploration in many forms.
Share a special experience with Touch Drawing or SoulCards.
A feeling of being able to 'catch' and gently hold something beyond words (- rather like a butterfly net in slow motion!). For me, words often whizz by far too fast to really feel or get to know, talking 'about' life - so, this way I feel able to catch glimpses of a deeper aspect of myself, to enable me to be still and connect more deeply. An almost 'sacred' feeling when everything slows down and I can really feel and know what was beyond words!
Do you facilitate SoulCards with others?
Yes
If so, with whom and how?
I have used cards for many years with clients for deeper exploration - and in self awareness, alone as well as with friends and family.
Is there anything else you would like us to know about you?
I would like to facilitate Touch Drawing here in England. Oh - and I'm also a trained Homoeopath!
City, state, zip and/or region and country

Dear Susan, I am sorry I didn't reply to your request to join the TD Facilitator group until a few minutes ago - there has been a glitch in that system so I can't find those requests, and don't receive notifications when they come in. I just decided to close down that group and start a new 'TD Workshop Facilitation' group which doesn't need an invitation to join - I think it will be come more active this way. Just click on the GROUPS tab and see it featured right now, and join. Thanks so much - Deborah
Oh. also - If you would ever like to write something up about your use of SoulCards for the e-newsletter, that would be great. Check the brand new e-newsletter out by clicking on the hanads with hearts box in the upper right hand corner - and sign up for the newsletter. That is a different list from the community. I don't send them often, because i work very heard on them....every few months.
Welcome, Susan! I love your description of the feeling of doing Touch Drawing. We are just revving up the community to be more active - glad to have you joining us right now! Blessings, Deborah
PS: Do a search for Sue Mason in the member pages. she attended the Td Gathering many years ago and we have stayed connected. She lives in England. It might be great for you to connect with each other. She works with sacred sound and TD.
