- Hello Susan: I was hoping I would find some fellow Mainers in the community. I live in Stonington, ME. I had to say I am not sure where Montville is. I actually was raised here. I come and go. I went south to get an art teacher certification in an alternative certification program and then returned home. I did not think the job market would be so competitive. Currently, I work as an Ed Tech III at a private school for emotional/behavioral and autistic children. We do have an art therapist. We talked about touch drawing. I hope she will let me help you facilitate a group using this technique.

- I'm attracted to Touch Drawing for many reasons- the spontaneity it brings to my art, the element of playfulness, the richness of getting to the heart of the matter. Touch Drawing, indeed, reveals the soul that comes into the art. The images coming from freedom of expression and spiritual aspects reflects back to me what I need to see and know and leads me to a deeper place.

- Partnering to do "Inner Portrait" facilitated by Deborah. I knew this was why i had come for the weekend workshop. A deep experience of 'getting out of my own way' when doing Touch Drawing for someone else. This allowed me to relinguish my ego as well as good practice for 'give away' And what a special gift to receive an "Inner Portrait"! Truly understanding that Touch Drawing offers a way to attune to other people. Even if I decide not to use this in my art therapy practice with others, it has opened up a wider space for compassion and open heart especially with the hospice work I do.
