Ron, I am originally from California, the Bay Area to be exact. I lived there for about 45 years. Got very tired of what it was turning into, so came here when we had a chance to relocate with my husband's job. Now I see this area doing just what California did. After my youngest graduates from high school in 2 years, we may start looking elsewhere. (Don't tell Deborah!) I would love to move to the east coast. I have always been drawn there. Or England. However, my husband is very much a west coast person. We have always talked about retiring in Oregon as we have a little cabin there in the most beautiful area (McKenzie River). I will have to see where my sons end up. One is a sophmore in college in Oregon and likes it there a lot and has recently announced he's not coming home for the summer. The second son will be a freshman in college next year and has chosen the same college in Oregon. Time will reveal all. In the meantime, Whidbey Island is not a bad place to be 'stuck' in!

Welcome, Ron. There is a very expereinced TD facilitator in North Carolina, if you want to see if you might connect with a workshop in your region. You can find her on this community. Go to the MEMBERS page and search for Katrina. Blessings, Deborah

Thank you for your warm welcome. The pix is from Western North Carolina Mtns. NC and SC are much like California without the crowds. Ocean front, flatlands, mountains. I've spent time in Washington State; also a lovely place! I'm glad to be with this community. Blessings to y'all :-)

Hi, Ron, Welcome to the Touch Drawing Community. I am Deborah's office manager here on Whidbey Island. You and I have some things in common. I also enjoy walking, wandering, laughing, talking, and organizing. Deborah is very thankful for that last one! ;)

The photo you have posted is in a lovely setting. Is that in SC? I was in NC once, briefly, and what struck me the most was how green it was, just like in your photo. So I'm assuming SC and NC might be similar in terrain? Anyway, it looks like a terrific place to wander!

Glad to have your join us,
Gwen Brass
