SoulCards Personal Use, Facilitating Touch Drawing
What brings you to an interest in Touch Drawing or SoulCards?
As a writer and creative writing teacher, I have been using SoulCards personally for almost 20 years, have used Touch Drawing personally for years, and got the Touch Drawing Facilitators' Handbook about 8 years ago and facilitated several classes that merged Touch Drawing with writing. My life then took a different direction, and even though I still use the SoulCards daily (both decks), I am just now coming back to once again being led to offer these classes.
My experience applies to:
Creativity, Spiritual, Intuitive, Expressive Arts
Other areas of interest & experience
Have you done Touch Drawing?
How did you find out about the Touch Drawing Community?
I purchased my first deck of SoulCards almost twenty years ago at a fabulous little shop while a graduate student in New Orleans.
Have you facilitated Touch Drawing?
In what setting have you facilitated?
At the time I had an artist co-op that had a central room we shared that offered workshops and classes.

For almost twenty years now, I use my SoulCards, both decks, in my morning ritual, which also includes an I Ching reading. The card readings help further my understanding of the I Ching reading and give me visual images to carry with me throughout the day. I also do a SoulCard reading (the original deck, usually), before I run, usually daily. I am a barefoot trail runner, and the reading helps me to carry the visual images of what my Spirit is showing me as I connect to the earth and nature. It is an amazing and intuitive experience every time.
Do you facilitate SoulCards with others?
Not yet but I plan to.
If so, with whom and how?
Another class I do is Yoga and Writing, and I am thinking about merging all three (yoga, Touch Drawing, and writing) together for one workshop. So, it would include a yoga instructor I've worked with on other classes for years.
Paula, I am updating our mailing list right now. You should have already been on it, but it accepted you as a new member - which means our records have a different email address for you than the one you used here, or an out of date one. Curious - have you received emails from us in recent years? I didn't send any this year as i was on sabbatical from aspects of my work...
Paula, Welcome to the Touch Drawing community. I just want to let you know that it is not very active right now...I am pondering if this is the right format because it is somewhat complex. So I have not been trying to activate it for a few years. it has potential and if it has a reawakening you will know about it! You might like to join the facebook touch drawing group - it is quite active and wonderful, and much simpler. I am fascinated to hear your depth of commitment to soulcards as part of you life practice. I would love for you to write an article for our website on how you have been using them. I am getting ready to begin posting fresh articles on our blog there. You can email me at email@example.com to communicate more about this - any time. Do you know I have a brand new major project? Soul Touch Coloring Journals - the next big birth since soulcards!
