This beautiful image hangs on the wall of my movement studio. She reminds me that we all have inner resources at our disposal; that by trusting our bodies to move as they will, the numinous is released in our very flesh.
Swish, scratch, dab, brush...body parts (fingers? toes?) move on paper, guided by an inner prompting. Touch Drawing is a natural portal of discovery & expression for somatic experience. My embodied practice is Authentic Movement. What is yours?

Lisa - I'd like you to tell me more about your embodiment of Touch Drawing. I have experience in Authentic Movement. When I am drawing I definately feel my body is intrinsic to the process. Mary Ernst
Solstice Drawing: Closing my eyes, I breathe and relax and soon feel Sun infuse my body with Light and Warmth. I re-member that I am held by the Sun, as the Sun, in the Sun. Shhh...ahhh...deeper into this!...Somewhere, from within this great Beyond, the energy of Life flows in all directions. I catch a wave, as hands press into paper, finding just the right angle of articulation. Breath deepens as body weight relaxes forward and down, torso lifts and readjusts to become a conduit of soul - yes, this feels right. Images unfold and, yet again, trust deepens in body's knowing, in body's openness to the infusion of Presence - Life wisdom in every cell, every atom of matter. I am grateful for this embodiment and the Beauty I Am, We Are. Open through the body to the great Beyond within!!!
Wishing you all the Blessings of High Summer!!

Lisa,
My friend, you have been in my thoughts SOOOO much the last two months. I missed your presence at the IEATA conference. I would have loved to see you there. I was at Omega with Deborah and we both mentioned you to the group we facilitated there. I MISS YOU!
Major transformation taking place within me at this time. What's new?! I've been listening to Krishna Das a lot to ease my heart and think of you singing and dancing.
How are you? I send you a huge hug and much love,
Katrina
Hey, Lisa! So you stay on Whidbey Island, too! We'll have to get together sometime! I'm living in Everett now - and am moving to Mukilteo in July! I won't be able to make it to the gathering, since I just started a new job - but I'm going to definitely come over some evening to see everyone. :) Welcome to the online group!
HI lisa! Welcome! i hope you had a breat solstice night. I had a jellyfish intitiation - We went swimming in the sound as we always do, and I came out and started feeling a stinging all over. Didn't talk about it til the dance was over because we weren't talking - but someone said it was probably a swarm of baby jelly fish - kind of like getting stung by nettles all over - feeling mostly gone today. Jellyfish Medicine?!
