Dear Ellen,
I'm sending loving wishes your way as we enter 2009. I know 2008 brought you more fully in touch with your deep inner wisdom. Keep listening to Her -- she's a grand lady! Let me know where you are in your journey. Hugs, Pat
Ellen, I am just arranging to come up and do a daylong workjshop[ through Banyen this winter...Maybe we could add something to that trip, or we could give a couple of people scholarships to attend that workshop to be a first seed.
I am interested in your expereince at EC - when I visited, I had a sense they were training people into the edgey, esoteric 'art world'. I knew someone who was attending whi was somewhat different, and it took strenth for her to stand her ground, but she did. My daughter Aleah has been encouraged to think about meaning in her artwork at Cornish. Her painting is very classic (amazing) but now has more depth of content/substance...But she didn't learn the technique of painting there - that she got from someone she painted with throughout her teenage years, and one workshop at a differenbt art school. So it is mixed, but serving her well. I do feel she has been supported to be herself. So your report confirms her decision to go there, not EC. I wrote to Tracy to see how she is doing; haven't heard back yet.
And I really get how helpful it can be to try 'the path not taken' and decide that it was better you hadn't taken it afterall! That can be so liberating. Art schools CAN be destructive, though of course not always.
Many blessing on the birth! You might want to take Td supplies. I drew during some of my contractions and it was amazing - as an option for you or the mom.....An Inner portrait of the soul of the new being coming into yyour life?
Love, Deborah
Dear Ellen,
I have been wondering how your classes are going??? and if that new Grandbaby has made an appearance yet. By going to art school, you are living out one of my early dreams. May you soak in all that you desire and share the beautiful wisdom you hold within with fellow students. With love, Pat
Dear Ellen,
I hope that you sprinted on to art school with all those jitters and realized the big YES in your heart! I so want to hear about your journey. Share stories!!! Know that you are sooo supported for doing this in your life right now. Remember these words. . "We are the ones we've been waiting for." May all of our creative Muses ignite hearts and change this world---one touch drawing at a time. Much love to you, Pat
Dear Ellen,
Just who is this little cherub in your lap? I still remember you in my heart as this rainbow of light circling around the floor on the final evening of our Gathering. May we have lots of opportunities to share and touch each other's souls. With love, Pat
