This group invites discussion and support for art therapists who integrate Touch Drawing into their work, or would like to begin. It also gathers stories and invites research on T.D. with various poplulations in hope of a future A.A.T.A presentation.
Discussions will revolve around TD as both a sensible and supersensible art process, touch drawings as art objects made to be displayed, and TD as taught in a school setting as an art practice that expands students’ art-making abilities.
Allow the cycles of the moon to help you stay inspired to draw and connected to the community of Touch Drawing souls. Upload pics of your drawings and write in your blog, then announce your postings here.
Discuss issues that relate to workshop facilitation - music, holding space, pricing, group dynamics. Ask questions, share what is working, and anounce a workshop report that you have put on your own blog.
This is a place to share ideas on how to gather and use materials inexpensively and ecologically. Also share ways of holding workshops that can be more minimal in use of materials.
The one worth traveling for is the Touch Drawing Gathering next July 11-16. http://www.touchdrawing.com/5Events/Gather.html
(last years costs are still up - only slight change, if any)
Donna, Wow, you are HERE! I checked out your website and YES touch drawing absolutely dovetails with many dimensions of your work. Give it a try and let me know how it goes. The Touch Drawing Facilitator Workbook is the single best source of info and support for the process. It is available as a download, so you could save expensive shipping to Australia. We will also have downloads of the audio Cd 'Guided Experience' and the dvd soon - probably next week!
Blessings, Deborah
