Say a bit about yourself and why you're coming to the Gathering this year. Touch Drawing will bring us together from as far away as Florida, Texas, Ohio, British Columbia, New Zealand and Australia.

Greetings Gathering,
I look forward to spending time in the sacred forest and meeting you all. This will be my first Gathering on Whidbey Island. I have been in residence at Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California, for the last 6 months. Esalen is where I first met Deborah and was introduce to Touch Drawing. I am a visual artist and musician and love being in nature. My background is in fine arts and art education. For the last 13 years, I have worked as an art teacher in schools and museums in Southern California. I am taking the present moment to be a clear channel for art and music and the Spirit of improvisation. During our time together at the Gathering, I will serve as Deborah's assistant. I wish you all a safe journey and look forward to meeting you.
I have a website that shares a bit more: http://web.me.com/brananfreeman
Hello to all! I am a bit late in joining you but better late than never. I am really looking forward to meeting you all at this year's Gathering, I am riding a huge wave of joy after my son's wedding this past weekend and can hardly wait to draw with this amazing energy. This will be my 3rd trip to Whidbey, and this year under much happier circumstances than last. The dust is just beginning to settle after all the partying, but I still have family in from all over and a lot going on, so things are happily busy----but I am REALLY looking forward to the quiet woods and tranquility of the Land. One note-I check these postings as they come up on my phone, and my keyboard is tiny and subject to typos. I am always up to date, but if I reply briefly, please know that I am not being abrupt with anyone. If I need to be more wordy,( like tonight), I will wait until I am on my regular computer-- which is not every day anymore thanks to my phone.
Safe travels to all, see you soon!
Many Blessings,
Angel-Rose
Hi Members of the 2011 Gathering!
It's been a few years since I last came to the Whidby Gathering, missed it! The last few years have been tremendously emotional, with the deaths of my mother and a very dear friend (who used to go to the Gatherings together with me) and other friends who were stricken with cancer. It is at times like this that I found the consoling powers of Touch Drawing. I have to thank Talia for first introducing me to it at the Banff internationl expressive arts conference back in 2000(?). That particular day, when I saw Deborah demonstrating her Touch Drawing in the auditorium, I knew that was IT! In turn, I have introduced some of my friends to it, and they have all thoroughly deepened by it.
Looking forward to it in July!
Hi everyone
Looking forward to my journey to USA in July. Have always talked about attending the Touch Drawing Gathering and now the time is here. Can't wait and I feel truly blessed to be going. Sitting here, trapped at home due to flooding on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Australia. Mother Earth is having some major shifts. See you soon.
Hi everyone,
Welcome to the group! I added a discussion above focused on introductions. Feel free to start your own discussion on another topic too. We've had a cool summer so far on Whidbey Island. Sunny days reach in the warm 70's; cooler days hover in the 60s. We often have a shift to full sun and 80's in early July. I'll keep you posted. You'll see a million shades of green in the forest. Less than a month until we gather at the Whidbey Institute retreat center!
